Ahh Yes That New Blog Feeling

So I needed a blog change. Ever have that? It's as if my actual personality is a bit wrapped up in my blogging persona. Or maybe it's the other way around. Anyway I was feeling like the focus of my old blog limited my expression & what's the point of having a blog unless you can express yourself the way you friggin' feel like? So I changed not only the look & feel of my blog life, I even changed the url & title. A fresh start in a new place of e-space. Can we even have new places in electric spaces or is it all some kind of mathematical impossibility. Whatever.

The deal is the following: this blog is all about me telling it (whatever it is) like it is. What ever the is may be, it's just some thoughts/opinions & general good or crappy attitudes depending on my level of PMS that my head & fingers need to rant on that day. You could really say Frank is really an acronym of sorts. This is how it would go:

F-rances (that's my name)
R-ants
A-bout
N-on-sense &
K-nowledge

My perspectives come from my background, education, experience & of course my hormonal state. Variety is my favorite spice so one never knows what will be posted here but the hope is these posts will entertain, educate, provoke & hopefully sometimes inspire.

Recently I was told that I'm abrupt. That may be true. My astrological chart shows 5 planets in Sagittarius, which is the sign for the half horse-half man or half jackass-half asshole. It's true I dislike word mincing & would rather be forced to put a fork in my eye than read, listen to, write or say a bunch of extra words. That being said I totally have a tendency to be a complete windbag if I'm emotional about a subject.

Well I could go on & on about myself, this blog & other stuff but for now I'll mention a little quiz type idea that folks ask each other when getting to know someone. My spouse & I chatted this morning about the 5 albums we would want if stranded on an island (why is it always an island & not some other place like Antarctica or the Bermuda Triangle?). As corny as this question is it's a good one. So here are my 5.
  • Fleetwood Mac's greatest hits -greatest hits albums are a good way to go when you can only have 5!
  • Bjork's Telegram
  • The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
  • Legend by Bob Marley
  • Disintegration by The Cure

It's really hard to leave out the Beatles, Bille Holiday, John Mayer, Public Enemy, Tribe Called Quest, Bonnie Raitt, Jill Scott and of course Ratt but as of today, those are my top five. Not sure what this tells people about me. If anyone has any thoughts let me know. Anyway enjoy this video by a new fav or mine Duffy.
