Next month is gratitude month & I want to celebrate! This year has been a heck of a year, yet through it all there have been so many gifts. I'm sure that sounds really vomit inducing, but it's true. I've been in the hospital, had surgery, moved, our dogs died, adjusted to major work changes and went back to college. Every month has had some kind of challenge that forced me to live each day as it came. And 2010 is still doing its thing because I was in the ER twice this week. It was leaving there the 2nd time that it came to me to do what I'm calling the "Walking Gratitude Project."
For the month of November I'd like to somehow have on my body a symbol of something I'm grateful for. Thirty days equals thirty different things I'm grateful for and thirty different ways of expressing that outwardly. As my style post mentioned "personal display is personal ceremony" and what better ceremony is there than 30 days of inward felt and outward expressed gratitude?
With fewer than 2 weeks to come up with a list of 30 different items and ideas on how to express them upon myself visually, I have an incentive to ask for ideas. So dear readers... please share what kinds of things you are grateful for. Is it your pets or spouse or navel or fancy shoes? Are you grateful for something you're embarrassed about or something that makes you look cool? Share any and everything! Inspiration is what this project is all about and I look forward to getting and giving some. Peace!
